Melissa KiteMermaid
Melissa took over SFKB in 2014 and has been the owner ever since. IKO certified and licensed boat captain, she is one of a handful of women in the world to own and operate her own kiteschool.
She runs a 5-star operation and is very patient and friendly.
Mel is fluent English and Spanish.
Charl
Head instructor, IKO certified and licensed captain, he has traveled to many different continents, working on a boat as diving and spearfishing instructor.
He is kind, patient and focuses on safety. Charl is fluent in Afrikaans and English, and he even speaks some Spanish!
Camila
Camila has been teaching with SFKB for the last 7 years and she is our booking manager.
IKO certified and licensed boat captain, she has taught all over the world in any conditions you can imagine. She is one of the best in the industry.
Camila is fluent in English, Spanish & Portuguese. Specializes in surf-style and free-ride.
Marina
IKO certified and licensed boat captain, she has taught in places like Sicily and Miami Beach. Marina is very patient with a lot of experience in kiteboarding.
She speaks fluent English, Russian, Italian and German.
Living in Miami, Marina is also the owner of Platinum Sun.
James
James is the newest member of our crew with 7 years of teaching experience, IKO Certified.
Starting his professional kiteboarding career at the heart of the sport in Hawaii, with some of the toughest conditions imaginable, has truly made him into a 5-star instructor & highly-skilled, versatile kiter. Eventually making it to Hatteras, where he has been teaching with the same methods as here at SFKB for the last few years.
Trentin
Trentin joined tour team this year and has been kiting for 11 years, he is very familiar with Stiltsville’s conditions.
As a certified lifeguard, he is very observant and focusses on creating a safe and positive learning environment so his students will have the maximum progression with the least risk possible.
